Kitzbuhel will stun first time visitors with its fascinating medieval architecture,
picturesque sights, glitz and glamour. The resort is located one hour and forty five
minutes from Salzburg and two hours thirty minutes from Innsbruck. The ski area covers
164km of piste, with a good range of runs mainly for beginners and intermediates.
14% of the area is allocated to experts who can also try the off piste runs. Snowboarders
will be happy with the variety of clear runs for big carves and for free riding there is
also a half pipe. Beginners are also well catered for with lots of nice long runs and 4
nursery slopes to choose from.
The resort is home to the Kitzbuhel Ski Club who host the annual Hahnenkamm race and
are one of the oldest and most successful ski clubs in Austria. This high profile event
adds to the quality of the resort and its visitors are able to enjoy this all season
long.
The après ski benefits from the resort's prestige and reputation, with over 100 restaurants
and many bars and clubs. The shopping is also very highly rated with expensive boutiques
throughout the town.
