The world famous Val d'Isere is about 2 hours 30 minutes from Chambery and 3 hours 45 from Lyons. The resort is served by the Espace Killy ski area offering 300km of piste, excellent off piste, 52km of cross country and a superb snow record backed up by 25 hectares of snow making.

The resort is a mecca to skiers and boarders throughout Europe. There is also a massive party scene with world famous bars and clubs as well as top class restaurants and shops. Snowboarders will find the area perfect for learning and also perfect for practising your expertise in any style, the off piste is perfect for boards too with numerous powder stashes to be found. The ski school is one of the best about and great for first time kids as well as those learning adults, or even experts topping up their skills.
